Like other successful organizations, NOC cares about community needs.  From education to healthcare and workforce development -- NOC is there -- offering assistance and encouragment to struggling individuals and families in low income neighborhoods in Hilton Head Island and Greater Bluffton.

Creative Video Tells It All

 

 
NOC high school volunteer, Hannah Brink, a junior at HH High, has prepared a creative and thoughtful video about NOC’s after school program at Oaks, capturing the dynamics of children and tutors participating actively. The video shows the excitement of children as they participate in the after school tutoring, homework support, and compass learning at NOC’s Program Center at Oaks. 

NOC’s Centurion Club Visits Sandbox Museum

 

Several NOC student tutors – Emma Stanton, Katy Hinton, Kristin Trusz, Hannah Brink, and, Keelin Sanz – organized a field trip to the Sandbox Museum for younger members of NOC’s Centurion Club.

School Improvement Council Meets In Oaks Neighborhood

 

On May 7, the School Improvement Council (SIC) of Hilton Head Elementary School (HH-IB), an Authorized International Baccalaureate School, held its last meeting of the 2011-2012 academic year at the Program Center of the Neighborhood Outreach Connection (NOC) at the Oaks Apartment Complex in Hilton Head Island.

Cinco de Mayo Fund-Raiser for NOC

 

NOC invites everyone to a Cinco de Mayo event sponsored by the Beach City Health and Fitness Club (BCH&F), located in Hilton Head Island, to benefit NOC. The event will be held on May 5, at 39 Hospital Center Common, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Centurion Club Student Receives Award

 

 
 
Centurion Club member, Iban Frias Tamyo, Grade 4 at HH IB Elementary School, received a special award from Wayne Quinlan, HH High School soccer coach in recognition of his  outstanding performance in academics and behavior for the week of April 26, at NOC’s Program Center in the Oaks.
